One thing that I recommend to everyone when going to Las Vegas is to see at least one show. Shows are a big part of the town, and most of them are just good, but there are some that are great! Here is a brief overview of some to the best ones.

The Blue Man Group at the Venetian is one of the most popular shows in Las Vegas. They use unique theatrics, comedy, and music to provide a memorable night. The stars of the show are actually painted blue, and they act like they are from another planet. They communicate using only body language. The way they interact with the audience and each other is wonderful, and completely hilarious! This really is one of the best shows in Las Vegas, and it's something that everyone should see at least once.

The Cirque du Soleil shows are really something unique and special. They use acrobatics and music to amaze crowds of people night after night. The performers are very talented, and their performances are very good. They have multiple shows in town, which can be found at the MGM Grand, Bellagio, Treasure Island, Mirage, Luxor, and New York-New York.

Las Vegas is a popular stop for some of the most famous comedians in the world. Jerry Seinfeld can be found at Caesars Palace, and his act is very good. His comedy is also clean enough for the whole family. Brad Garrett and Ron White often perform at the Mirage. Both of them are great, but expect them to be a little dirtier than Seinfeld. Garrett uses a style where he picks on members of the audience and cracks jokes about them. White uses a style very similar to his Comedy Central routines, but expect some newer material. You can't go wrong with any of these comedians.

If you're looking for an adult themed show, two shows stand out. Fantasy at Luxor is a newer age Vegas showgirl act, where male fantasies are played out. The show also mixes comedy and music in with the act, and the final product really is great. Jubilee! at Bally's is more of a traditional Las Vegas showgirl act. They incorporate music, flashy costumes, and dance to make a great show.

Magic shows are always fun. Two of the greatest magicians/illusionists perform in Las Vegas regularly. David Copperfield is at MGM Grand, and Lance Burton is at Monte Carlo. Both will make your jaw drop. Trust me, if you like magic, go see these two. You won't be disappointed.

There are even hypnosis shows in Las Vegas. In these shows people from the audience get on stage and agree to be hypnotized. The hypnotist always makes them do outrageous things, and puts them in suggestive situations that they otherwise wouldn't be in. The results are often very funny. Marc Savard's Mesmerized is at Planet Hollywood, and Anthony Cools' The Uncensored Hypnotist is at Paris. Both of these guys are good choices.

There is a wide variety of shows to choose from in Las Vegas. There are shows that many different types of people will find interesting, depending on your particular mood for that night. Las Vegas is home to some of the best talent and the widest variety when it comes to shows, so you might as well take advantage of it! Trust me, you'll be glad that you did.
